Pre-sales questionnaire

We undertake a comprehensive questionnaire to determine your exact requirements. We will also ask you whether you require any other hardware or software. Based on your answers, we will then recommend a system, and any other hardware or software you require, and provide you with a written quotation.

Pre-delivery system configuration

Once you have ordered your new system from Backup, it will go through a very thorough process before we deliver it to you:

• Download latest updates and virus definition files

• Connect to Microsoft Windows Update website , download and install all available critical updates and patches

Installation Service

Once the PC or laptop has been pre-configured, it is then ready to be delivered and installed. Our installation service includes:

• Setup and installation of your new computer
• Configuration of your email and broadband
• Configuration of your new computer onto a new or existing wireless network, if required
• Installation of any other hardware, for example, a printer or multifunction
• Installation of any software
• Testing that everything is working, for example, sending and receiving of emails, printing out a test document, etc.

BlackBerry & iPhone setup and configuration - we can configure these devices to enable internet and email use.

Data transfer - we can transfer all of your emails, address books, favourites, documents, photos and music from your old computer to the new one.

Equipment recycling - we can take away any old PC equipment and boxes that you want to get rid of and dispose of them environmentally

Secure wipe and disposal of equipment - where we can securely wipe all data from your old PC's hard disk drive before disposing of it. Data can include sensitive information like bank details, credit card numbers , PINs and passwords.
